1 Welcome

Sustainability is an integral part of how we create value at Siegwerk and a key pillar of our long‑term business strategy. As a family-owned company with more than 200 years of history, we take a long‑term perspective and are committed to integrating sustainability and competitiveness in a way that allows profitable growth and positive environmental and social impact to go hand in hand.

With HorizonNOW 2025, we laid the foundation for a holistic and measurable sustainability approach, embedding sustainability across procurement, operations and product innovation. As this strategic cycle ends, we can clearly see the impact created by working towards concrete targets and by rooting sustainability firmly in our business and leadership decisions.

“Sustainability is an integral part of how we create value, which reinforces the competitiveness of our customers and partners.”

Nicolas Wiedmann, CEO

Building on this foundation, we have launched HorizonNOW 2030, the next phase of our sustainability agenda. HorizonNOW 2030 connects every step of our business to a sustainable packaging future and underlines our ambition to remain a leading enabler of sustainable packaging. By systematically addressing material sustainability topics across our entire value chain, the agenda strengthens our ability to grow profitably and responsibly while supporting our customers and partners in meeting increasing regulatory, market and societal expectations.

1.2 Message from our Head of Global Sustainability

Section titled “1.2 Message from our Head of Global Sustainability”

HorizonNOW has been our strategic banner for Siegwerk’s sustainability transformation. It translates our sustainability ambition into clear priorities, measurable targets, and structured management approaches. HorizonNOW 2025, which ends in this reporting period, helped us build the necessary governance, processes and data foundations. HorizonNOW 2030, starting in 2026, marks the transition from establishing fundamentals to scaling impact across procurement, operations and products.

The updated agenda is structured around three focus areas and eight ambitious goals, covering human and labor rights, climate action, circularity, product trust and transparency, safety and diversity. It is designed to meet the highest level of regulatory requirements, while remaining practical, data‑driven and closely linked to our business strategy.

“HorizonNOW 2030 translates sustainability into clear priorities and measurable impact. By sourcing responsibly, producing sustainably and developing products that enable circularity, we actively support our customers in making truly sustainable packaging a reality.”

Alina Marm, Head of Global Sustainability

This Sustainability Report reflects that evolution. It provides transparency on our progress to date, explains how sustainability is embedded in our strategy and governance, and outlines how HorizonNOW 2030 will guide our actions toward 2030. Sustainability at Siegwerk goes beyond targets and reporting — it is about creating positive impact for our people, our partners and our planet, and about enabling a future‑fit, circular packaging ecosystem.
